Spring Break Activities That Won't Break Your Budget

Published: April 19, 2017

Spring break is halfway over! Are you looking for something fun to do with your kids, but don't want to break your budget? Here are some activities going on this week.

Bowl-A-Rama - Sanford

Bowl-A-Rama is having Rock N Glo Bowl every day from 12:00 - 2:00 pm. The price is $12/person and includes 2 hours of bowling, shoe rentals, a slice of pizza, and a drink.

Get Air - Portland

This week, Get Air, the indoor trampoline gym, is opening at 9:00 am for spring break. Prices for children under 46" are $8/1 hour or $14/2 hours. Prices for children 46+" are $14/1 hour or $22/2 hours per person.

Smitty's Cinema - Sanford & Biddeford

Smitty's is showing matinees of all the newly released movies. It's an inexpensive way to get out of the house, even on a chilly day!

Get Fired Up - Sanford

Paint some pottery this week. Get Fired Up is open from 11:00 am - 7:00 pm this week. Every day has a different offer, so make sure to check out their Facebook page.

If you're looking for something that's free and outdoors, you can do some of these activities:

Go to the park

The weather is starting to get warmer, so take advantage of it by going to the park. It's chilly in the mornings, but the afternoons get warmer. Let your kids play off some built-up energy from being cooped up all winter.

Earth Day celebration

Wells Reserve at Laudholm Farm is hosting an Earth Day celebration on Friday, April 21 from 8:00 am - 12:00 pm. This free event is open to families and includes a bird walk, concert, crafts and games, and a beach clean-up.

Look for shells at the beach

Now is the perfect time to visit the beach and search for shells. There aren't a lot of tourists yet and the debris from the winter storms is still on the sand.
