Community Commitment

Caring for our communities is a fundamental value of York County Federal Credit Union. We work to improve financial and overall well-being by reaching out to others.

York County's Run to End Hunger

York County FCU partnered with the York County Shelter Programs to host their annual 5k run/walk on Saturday, May 20 on their campus in Alfred. All of the proceeds benefit the York County Shelter Programs' fight to end hunger in York County.

For more information on becoming a sponsor or participating in the event, check out our Facebook page.

Supported Community Events and Causes

Every year, York County FCU supports local organizations that we're passionate about, including:

  • The United Way – We're proud to award scholarships to deserving students pursuing higher education.
  • Homefest – We're proud to sponsor Homefest. Families are offered fun activities, a hardy lunch, and timely financial advice.
  • Maine Credit Union League Campaign For Ending Hunger – Starting in 2006, employees created the first annual "Walk to End Hunger." Sponsored by community members, friends, and family, we've raised over $58,000 throughout the years. Proceeds are distributed to hunger organizations and food pantries in York County.
